I haven't really done much of my own artwork for ages.These are just a couple of rough sketches using some tired old imagery,but the nostalgia of drawing again made me go back there again.Any way I am going to keep working these but am posting them as WIPs.

I drew this flamingo character as part of the drawing in my first post.I didn't use him in that picture but have used him here in this flamingo crowd.The first thing it reminds me of is John Bracks Collin St 5pm painting.

These are two paintings I did on the banks of the Yarra river just over the hill from where I grew up. They were done on the same day on one of the few outdoor painting sessions I did with artist Darin Frankpitt.

This drawing now lives in the principals residence at MLC Kew in Melbourne.It is part of a collection of still lifes I did with my childhood toys.I thought I would post this drawing as it is one which I always thought the execution worked out quite well.The subject matter is a little immature but i like that it touches on notions about suburbia.

I have often used this imagery of the angel figure. Ever since seeing and high detailed Angel in the Melbourne Cemetery it has registered itself to me as something powerful.

This is a painting of mine which inspired subsequent work which I guess you could describe as imagery drawn from the paint and the subconscious. It makes me think of Dante's inferno. The title 'Demons Within' is probably apt.
